Tatoo Removal

Tatoo Removal

Tatoo can be defined as a mark on any part of the body made by an insoluble pigment inserted into the skin with punctures. The motives behind tattooing could be purely aesthetic, religious, tribal, sign of rebellion etc. Selective removal of tattoo pigments with minimal risk of scarring is challenging. Factors that are considered while evaluating tattoos for removal are location, age, and skin type of patient. Tattoo removal by laser has evolved over a period of time. Laser therapy modifies the chemical properties of the pigment. The laser waves also shatter the pigment particles. Multicoloured tattoos need many wavelengths of laser light to remove the combination of inks. Multiple sessions are needed to achieve clearance.
